It was a lovely property. Displays of antiques, original art and a stunning architecture. Well located near the center of the old town with its plazas, shops, museums and restaurants. Comfy beds, very clean and secure. Free computer use.
The desk clerk acted like a real snob. We were in Quito for two weeks including a stay in a much cheaper hotel and had interactions with dozens of locals and we were never treated like this guy treated us. Today when we went to pay our bill he short changed us by $10. Everything he did for us, whether calling a taxi, putting our luggage in storage until our flight, was done with a begrudging attitude. It really put a damper on our stay there. I would not recommend this place for that reason alone.

Good location in the historic center. The room was nice, although a bit small. Breakfast was decent with eggs, toast, and fruit. The hotel had good security measures. We felt safe during our stay.

Front desk clerk was very helpful in finding a late night dining location, calling a cab, and then meeting the cab to make certain he knew where to take us. Very accomodating for our short stay due to flight times.
I do not feel that it is very safe to leave the hotel.

Good value for money. Staff quite helpful and breakfast was also good
The Old Town location is somewhat dead at night. Hard to find food past 7.30pm.

Clean rooms, no noise, helpful hotel staff (setup breakfast for us one hour early so we could eat before flying)
The hot water in the shower was sporadic and intermittent.

Great location, comfortable hotel, great breakfast, free bottled water, big room.
My room only had a window onto an internal courtyard and there is no gym - otherwise the hotel was great.

We had a fantastic stay at a unique boutique hotel. The location was perfect, just a short walk to the historical center with plenty of restaurants and amenities nearby. The hotel had a charming and character-filled atmosphere that we loved. The room was always kept spotless and the security was top-notch. The 24-hour reception staff were always polite and helpful. We especially enjoyed the common room where we could relax with free tea and coffee. The free wifi in the common area was also a bonus. We were also pleased with the reasonable price for getting our laundry done.
We did have a couple of minor inconveniences during our stay. The hot water was turned off overnight, resulting in some early mornings without a hot shower.

The facilities are very good. There is free drinking water, cable TV, wifi which is accessible throughout most of the 2nd floor where we stayed. The staff are also very good at their job.
The cable TV wasn't working a lot of the time. The staff, while very efficient, are not the warmest. However, they did always get the job done.
